Azerbaijan sends 974 tons of diesel to Armenia via Georgia
16:42 EnAzerbaijan has dispatched a new shipment of diesel fuel to Armenia, Olaylar informs.
A train carrying 974 tons of diesel in 16 tank wagons departed from the Bilajari station of Azerbaijan Railways and is en route to the Boyuk Kasik station before continuing transit through Georgia to Armenia.
This follows a previous shipment on April 14, when 1,298 tons of diesel were sent in 22 tank wagons.
So far, Azerbaijan has exported a total of 7,610 tons of diesel fuel, 979 tons of RON92 gasoline, and 2,955 tons of RON95 gasoline to Armenia.
Fuel exports to Armenia began on December 18, 2025, when 1,220 tons of A-95 gasoline were delivered in the first shipment.
The deliveries have been carried out after transit restrictions on cargo shipments to Armenia, in place since the occupation period, were lifted under a decision made by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in October 2025.
