Egyptian ambassador, SOCAR VP discuss energy cooperation

Egyptchr("39")s Ambassador to Baku, Houssam Eldine Reda, discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy and investment with Vice President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Elshad Nasirov, the embassy said on social media, Olaylar informs.

According to the information, the meeting held on April 2 took place within the framework of efforts to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and Azerbaijan.

"The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy and investment, taking into account SOCARchr("39")s leading position as one of the largest regional and international oil and gas companies," the statement said.

During the meeting, the diplomat presented an overview of Egyptchr("39")s oil and gas sector and also highlighted the countrychr("39")s investment potential and its ability to attract international partners in the energy field.

The embassy emphasized the desire to further deepen cooperation between Cairo and Baku in various areas of mutual interest.
