Ali Asadov congratulates Türkiye and Uzbekistan on qualifying for World Cup

Azerbaijan"s Prime Minister Ali Asadov has congratulated Türkiye and Uzbekistan on securing qualification for the FIFA World Cup, Olaylar informs.

Speaking at a meeting of the heads of government/vice-presidents of the Organization of Turkic Stateschr("39") member countries, Asadov recalled that on March 31, the Turkish national team secured a 1-0 victory over Kosovo, earning a spot in the World Cup-hosted jointly by the USA, Mexico, and Canada-24 years after their last participation:

"This magnificent victory has brought special joy to all of us. We sincerely congratulate our brother Türkiye on this historic achievement. At the same time, Uzbekistanchr("39")s first-ever qualification for the World Cup is a source of pride and happiness. This historic accomplishment was achieved by our brother Uzbekistan back in June of last year."

He emphasized that both successes can be seen as a victory for the entire Turkic world:

"These triumphs clearly reflect the rise of Turkic peoples in all fields."
