UCLA Library celebrates Azerbaijani poet Imadaddin Nasimi
An event dedicated to the poetry of prominent Azerbaijani poet Imadaddin Nasimi was held on Feb. 20 at the UCLA Library in Los Angeles, one of the world’s top universities. Co-hosted by the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles and the UCLA Library, the event was attended by the Library leadership and staff, UCLA faculty and students, as well as representatives of culture and science, mass media, members of the Azerbaijani community and other guests.
Update on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir
Commenting on the latest developments in Jammu and Kashmir, Ambassador of India B. Vanlalvawna said that authorities have taken various steps to normalise the situation and enhance socio-economic development in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
San Diego State University hosts a lecture on Azerbaijan
A lecture dedicated to Azerbaijan was held at the San Diego State University (SDSU) in California. Founded in 1897, SDSU is one of the oldest universities in California, and has over 35,000 students. Opening the lecture, professor of SDSU Martin Kruming introduced Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Los Angeles and Dean of the Los Angeles Consular Corps Nasimi Aghayev.
Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Los Angeles interviewed by Iranian-American Radio
KIRN Radio, the largest Farsi-language radio station in the United States and one of the largest in the world, aired a live interview on Azerbaijan featuring Azerbaijan’s Consul General and the Dean of the Los Angeles Consular Corps Nasimi Aghayev. Consul General Aghayev was interviewed by Debbie Amini, the host of the famous “One World, One Community” program. Live video of the interview was also broadcasted on the radio’s official Youtube channel.
