Armenia records over 500 new COVID-19 cases

 

The confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) increased by 515 in Armenia as of Wednesday morning, bringing the countrychr("39")s toll to 10,524, Olaylar reports via the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

The Center reported 12 new deaths, raising the number of the fatalities to 170.

The recoveries increased by 27 to 3,454 since Tuesday morning, with some 3,454 active cases still being under treatment. In total, 1,733 tests have been completed.

Today at a meeting of the ruling My Step faction, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan said the country expects an increase in the number of coronavirus cases and related deaths.

On May 14, the Armenian government decided to extend the state of emergency another month, until June 13.
