Azerbaijani Parliament speaker meets with Chairman of UAE Federal National Council

Chairperson of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova held a meeting with Chairman of the UAE Federal National Council Saqr Ghobash during a working visit to the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting highlighted the dynamic development and high level of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the UAE, which is based on historical, cultural, and religious ties.

The role of the leaders of the two countries in further deepening bilateral relations was emphasized.

Sahiba Gafarova recalled that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was awarded the international Zayed Award for Human Fraternity, noting that this decision was highly appreciated by Azerbaijani society.

The sides also discussed the current state and prospects of interparliamentary cooperation, the increase in mutual visits and contacts, as well as successful interaction within international parliamentary organizations.
