Azerbaijanchr("39")s forex reserves exceed $85B

Azerbaijanchr("39")s strategic foreign exchange reserves amounted to $85.056 billion as of January 1, 2026, Olaylar nforms.

Some 86.5% of this amount, or $73.541 billion, is held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ), and 13.5%, or $11.514 billion, is held by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

In the fourth quarter of this year, the countrychr("39")s foreign exchange reserves increased by $3.584 billion, or 4.4%. SOFAZchr("39")s foreign exchange reserves increased by $3.379 billion (4.8%), while the Central Bankchr("39")s reserves increased by $204.4 million (1.8%).

Over the past year, Azerbaijanchr("39")s foreign exchange reserves increased by $14.165 billion, or 19.8%. In particular, the foreign exchange reserves of the SOFAZ increased by $13.510 billion (22.5%), and the reserves of the Central Bank increased by $555.4 million (5.1%).
