At today plenary session of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan, draft laws included in the 2026 state budget package were brought up for discussion.

The agenda of the session includes eight relevant draft laws and decisions.

Prime Minister Ali Asadov and members of the government are participating in the discussions.

For next year, Azerbaijanchr("39")s state budget revenues are expected to reach 38.609 billion manats (over $22.711 billion), which is 0.7% higher compared to the approved forecast for 2025, while expenditures are projected at just over 41.703 billion manats (approximately $24.531 billion), also up 0.7%.

As a result, the state budget deficit is expected to amount to approximately 3.095 billion manats (over $1.82 billion), which is 1.4% higher year‑on‑year.

In 2026, consolidated budget revenues are projected at roughly 44.970 billion manats (approximately $26.452 billion), with expenditures at approximately 48.840 billion manats (nearly $28.73 billion). Compared to the approved forecasts for 2025, these figures represent increases of 2.3% and 2.5%, respectively.

Consequently, the consolidated budget deficit is expected to reach almost 3.870 billion manats ($2.276 billion), 5.2% higher than the previous year.

The price of a barrel of oil in the budget is set at $65.
