14:20 EnThe meeting of Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Alaska will take place on August 15 at approximately 11:30 local time (GMT-8), Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said, Olaylar informs referring to Russian media.
The meeting will take place at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Anchorage. According to Ushakov, it will be held in a tete-a-tete format, with the participation of interpreters.
"Then there will be negotiations within the delegations, and these negotiations will continue over a working breakfast," he added.
Ushakov added that the presidents will hold a joint press conference following the talks in Alaska.
He noted that preparations for the meeting of the presidents of the two countries have entered the final phase, its program has already been agreed upon.
"Considering that the meeting was announced only five days ago, that is, on the night from last Friday to Saturday, everything is being done in an intensive mode, a lot of technical issues are being resolved, including visa issues, and, of course, first and foremost, the political component of the summit is being actively worked on," he said.
