AZAL Vice President: Preliminary findings indicate external interference in Aktau plane crash

Preliminary investigation results have confirmed evidence of external interference in the operation of the AZAL aircraft that crashed near Aktau, AZAL Vice President Ilham Amirov told Olaylar during an event held in the Samukh district to mark the birthday of National Hero Hokuma Aliyeva.

According to him, all crew members of the crashed aircraft - including Hokuma Aliyeva - demonstrated heroism.

"National Hero Hokuma Aliyeva, whose birthday we are marking today, truly demonstrated great heroism. Despite severe damage to the AZAL passenger aircraft in mid-air, the crew managed the plane with the least possible losses. Keeping an aircraft with compromised controls in the air for 1 hour and 10 minutes is a testament to exceptional professionalism. Therefore, the heroism of the crew members deserves special recognition. The investigation into the crash continues; however, the preliminary findings of the commission conducting the inquiry have confirmed external interference in the aircraft's operation," said AZAL Vice President Ilham Amirov during an event in the Samukh district.
