Commission established in Azerbaijan to ensure security of critical information infrastructure
11:03 EnA joint commission has been established in Azerbaijan to ensure the security of critical information infrastructure.
The commission consists of relevant representatives from the State Security Service (SSS) and the Special Communication and Information Security State Service (SCISSS) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Olaylar informs, citing a joint release by the SSS and SCISSS.
"The commission was established in accordance with relevant legal and regulatory acts to systematically, promptly, and continuously monitor the compliance of government agencies with general and specific rules for ensuring the security of critical information infrastructure," the statement said.
Taking into account the threats to national and public security posed by any shortcomings identified by the commission, an evaluation will be conducted regarding the measures taken by critical information infrastructure entities to eliminate them.
The commission will also prepare periodic reports and updates on its activities. If circumstances are identified that may lead to breaches in the security of critical infrastructure facilities, the issue of taking urgent measures will be raised.
