Armenian army general answers questions about landmines planted in Azerbaijani territories
14:42 EnDuring the trial that continued on June 19 at the Baku Military Court, the defendant David Manukyan answered questions from the prosecutor defending the state prosecution regarding the planting of landmines in the territories of Azerbaijan once occupied by Armenia.
David Manukyan, an Armenian citizen who was a military serviceman of the Armenian armed forces, holding various positions with the military rank of major general, said:
"In conditional peacetime, when I was the commander of a military unit, incidents related to mines [planting of mines] occurred. Although not so widespread, they did occur. Very clear instructions were given regarding the storage of formularies and maps. An order is given by the higher command before each minelaying operation."
According to him, the order clearly states how many copies of landmine formularies, maps, and diagrams should be prepared.
Manukyan further noted: "Addresses are listed there, so that what should be sent to which address. We have also acted in accordance with the articles mentioned in the order."
