Azerbaijan and BP mull decarbonization, exploration and production projects

Azerbaijan exchanged views with BP on the companychr("39")s activities in the country, decarbonization efforts, as well as the ongoing exploration and production projects, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said on X, Olaylar informs.

The discussions were held during a meeting between Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and BP CEO Murray Auchincloss.

"During the meeting, we emphasized that the new agreements signed within the framework of Baku Energy Week will further strengthen the longstanding strategic partnership in the energy sector. We highly appreciated BP's active engagement in Azerbaijan's renewable energy initiatives and exchanged views on the company's operations in the country, including decarbonization efforts, as well as ongoing exploration and production projects," Jabbarov wrote on X.
