Armenian Foreign Ministry: Nordic and Baltic countries support peace efforts between Baku and Yerevan
4 İyun 15:14 EnThe Nordic and Baltic countries have expressed their support for the efforts of Azerbaijan and Armenia to achieve peace and stability in the South Caucasus region, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release following the visit of representatives from these countries to Armenia, Olaylar informs.
"They also supported the partieschr("39") efforts to conclude a peace agreement and establish inter-state relations, and expressed hope that the sides will sign the agreement in the near future," the ministry noted.
During a regional visit to the South Caucasus on June 3, representatives from Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia held meetings with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, and members of the Armenian Parliament's Standing Committee on Foreign Relations.
The parties discussed Armeniachr("39")s aspiration to strengthen relations with the EU, as well as the current situation in the South Caucasus.
