Erdogan: Türkiye, Azerbaijan are of strategic importance in terms of Europe's energy security

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the participants of the Baku Energy Week, Olaylar informs via TRT Haber.

Erdogan emphasized that Türkiye and Azerbaijan are of strategic importance in terms of Europechr("39")s energy security: "The relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, as in all areas, continue to be strong and determined in the energy sector."

The president noted that Türkiye and Azerbaijan have achieved a lot of success in the energy sector: "Global geopolitical processes taking place in recent years have once again emphasized the importance of Turkish-Azerbaijani cooperation in terms of energy security. Infrastructure investments such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipelines continue to make significant contributions not only to Türkiye and Azerbaijan, but also to the energy security of the region and Europe."

The Turkish leader called the Igdir-Nakhchivan pipeline the latest example of energy cooperation.
