Justice ministers of Azerbaijan and Pakistan mull cooperation

 

Azerbaijan's Justice Minister Farid Ahmadov met with Pakistanchr("39")s Minister of Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar on May 29 as part of his visit to Uzbekistan, Olaylar informs, citing the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the parties noted that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan have developed successfully across political, economic, legal, and trade sectors, reaching the level of a strategic partnership.

They stressed that the mutual visits and meetings between the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Pakistan play a crucial role in further strengthening and expanding these ties.

During the conversation, Ahmadov highlighted the visit of Pakistan's Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, to Azerbaijan on May 27-28, as well as his participation in the second Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Pakistan Summit in liberated Lachin, as a clear demonstration of the strong bond between the two nations.

He also stressed that the Memorandum of Cooperation, signed last year between Azerbaijan's Ministry of Justice and Pakistan's Ministry of Law and Justice, has opened new opportunities for enhancing legal cooperation.

The meeting included discussions on future directions for legal collaboration, along with other matters of mutual interest.

In response, Azam Nazeer Tarar expressed his intention to visit Azerbaijan in the coming months to further strengthen ties.
