Azerbaijani CEC delegation to participate in OTS event

The delegation of Azerbaijanchr("39")s Central Election Commission (CEC) will participate in the establishment of the Consultative Platform of the Supreme Election Bodies of the OTS (Organization of Turkic States) member states, Olaylar informs.

The delegation headed by CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov visited the city of Turkestan, Kazakhstan, for this purpose.

Within the framework of the visit, which takes place at the invitation of Chairman of Kazakhstanchr("39")s Central Election Commission Nurlan Abdirov, the Azerbaijani CEC delegation will first participate in the signing ceremony of the founding document of the Consultative Platform.

The document will allow for further intensification of relations between the election management bodies of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in the direction of exchange of experience.

During the visit to Kazakhstan, the Azerbaijani will also participate in the international conference themed "Turkic World: Traditions, experience and prospects for the development of electoral systems".

The CEC delegation also includes Deputy Chairman of the Commission Rovzat Gasimov and Deputy Head of the Secretariat Hasan Kazimzada.

Within the framework of the visit, the delegation will meet with the heads of the supreme election bodies of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States and other officials, as well as hold discussions on inter-agency relations and issues of mutual interest.
