Azerbaijani, Turkmen FMs discuss co-op prospects on Caspian Sea

Azerbaijanchr("39")s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, have discussed cooperation issues on the Caspian Sea in a phone call, Olaylar informs, citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.

The ministers considered current issues related to strengthening cooperation ties on the existing agenda between the two countries. The parties expressed confidence that the traditional friendship and brotherhood relations that have historically existed between the two peoples will continue to develop further on the basis of partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.

They highlighted the importance of political dialogue at the level of heads of state, exchange of mutual visits, as well as consultations between the Foreign Ministries in the development of relations between the two countries.

The ministers also discussed issues of regional security, cooperation within international organizations, as well as on the Caspian Sea.

They also exchanged views on other bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
