Iranian MP: Iran-Azerbaijan trade to reach $5 billion in near future

Iran and Azerbaijan are set to increase their annual trade turnover to $1 billion by the end of this year and aim to reach $5 billion in the near future, Sadef Badri, a member of the Iranian Parliament and head of the Iran-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group, said, Olaylar informs.

Badri said the agreement was reached during the recent visit of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Azerbaijan.

Badri described Pezeshkian's visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan as successful and productive:

"The main goal of the visit was to strengthen economic and trade relations. Several key agreements were signed, and a decision was made to expand mutual investments," he said.
