Azerbaijan and Pakistan strengthen cooperation in stock market
25 Fevral 2025 11:05 EnBaku Stock Exchange (BSE) and Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) signed a memorandum to strengthen bilateral cooperation, Olaylar informs, citing BSE.
The agreement was signed by BSE Chairman Ruslan Khalilov and PSX CEO Farrukh Sabzwari.
During the online signing ceremony, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and contributing to the development of their respective capital markets.
The memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation in the capital markets of Pakistan and Azerbaijan, as well as stimulate the development of the financial sector of both countries.
As part of the partnership, BSE and PSX will exchange experiences in the field of market operations, their development and the best regulatory instruments. Dual listing, development of joint products, and exchange of experience in market operations and regulations will be the main areas of cooperation.
The signing of the memorandum will pave the way for closer ties in the financial sector of Azerbaijan and Pakistan and is expected to impact overall economic growth and investment climate in both countries.
The memorandum was signed within the framework of the official visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif to Azerbaijan.
