Western Azerbaijan Community condemns UNESCO official's stance on Azerbaijan

The Western Azerbaijan Community has strongly denounced and rejected the position of UNESCO representative Krista Pikkat regarding sending a mission to Azerbaijan based on Armeniachr("39")s claims about cultural monuments in the country.

According to a statement by the Community, instead of responding to Azerbaijanchr("39")s numerous appeals to take action against Armeniachr("39")s massive destruction of Azerbaijani cultural heritage, the UNESCO official gives credence to unfounded claims.

"This discrimination displayed by UNESCO against the Azerbaijani people on religious and ethnic grounds shows that this organization has become an instrument of anti-Azerbaijan policy in the hands of France," the statement reads.
