Sahiba Gafarova: President Ilham Aliyev is a Politician of Great Influence Whose Word Matters as Much as His Signature
15 Oktyabr 2023 12:34 En'President Ilham Aliyev is a politician of great influence whose word matters as much as his signature does. He is the most sought-after guest at all the meetings and events in which he takes part. The President of Azerbaijan a most dependable partner to colleagues and politicians of repute.'
So says the article written by Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova entitled The Author of the Powerful Azerbaijan and the Great Victory that has been taken out in the Azerbaijan newspaper. It is also remarked in the article that Mr Ilham Aliyev's outstanding leadership qualities are the root causes of the Azerbaijani President's remarkable international prestige and his unique role and place in the ranks of world leaders. He is an honest, courageous and enterprising politician.
Nobody ever doubts that President Ilham Aliyev will success invariably no matter what platform he joins and where he is present. His repute and initiatives played a unique role in the solution of many global problems. 'We witness this also thanks to the example of the chairmanship of the President of Azerbaijan in international organisations. Azerbaijan did not chair the UN Security Council formally. Rather, President Ilham Aliyev took that high rostrum to criticise openly the shortcomings and problems of the system of international relations and of the UN itself. on the other hands, the leaders of the Non-Aligned Movement Member States admit today that the NAM had virtually gave the impression of inertness and inefficiency prior to the chairmanship in it of Azerbaijan and her leaders - they gave the Movement a new lease of life. The establishment of the NAM Parliamentary Network and the NAM Youth Organisation upon the instance of President Ilham Aliyev brought highlights to the institutional evolution of the Organisation. Ensuring the unity of the Turkic states and their practical solidarity as well as strengthening co-operation amongst the Muslim states were all the results of the tireless work that Azerbaijan and her leader had done in those organisations.'
Furthermore, the article underlines the fact that President Ilham Aliyev always thinks big and makes grand plans for the future of Azerbaijan. We see, as time passes, that his plans become reality against the backdrop of the landscape of Azerbaijan which is changing and developing day by day. Our country demonstrates it is capable of achieving in only a few years what many other countries and even the great nations could not achieve for centuries; and this is thanks to the competence and leadership skills of our Head of State.
Had we said many years ago that Azerbaijan would be one of the limited set of countries having reached the outer space, quite frankly, it might have sounded as wishful thinking. And yet, today Azerbaijan hosts one of the world's most important astronautical congresses bringing together in Baku the most influential academics from the world over. Baku is regarded as a place of modern innovations defining the global agenda and setting relevant trends. At the same time, this is a triumph of the policy of the Azerbaijani State focusing on building a competitive human capital and an intellectual society.
