MFA: Armenia prevents simultaneous use of roads to Khankandi

Being only decision-maker on its sovereign soil, for a long time Azerbaijan has promoted proposal on simultaneous use of Aghdam-Khankandi and Lachin-Khankandi roads for cargo delivery and gave its consent for implementation of this proposal in negotiations with intern partners, Aykhan Hajizada, Azerbaijani MFA Spokesperson said on X, Olaylar informs.

"However, unfortunately notwithstanding the reached agreements, Armenia and the puppet regime it created in the Garabagh region prevented implementation of it from the very beginning, once again proving that situation is nothing to do with humanitarian matter, but political. As it was noted earlier, Azerbaijan is ready to ensure the parallel use of Aghdam-Khankandi, and Lachin-Khankandi roads with the customs and border procedures at the Lachin border checkpoint being observed," he said.
