Bayramov: Armenia obstructs peace process with various provocations

Despite many constructive initiatives by the Azerbaijani side regarding the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations in the post-conflict period, the process is continuously obstructed by various provocations by Armenia, the Azerbaijani Foreign Affairs Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said in a telephone conversation with Karen Donfried, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Olaylar informs.

In this regard, the minister noted the gross violation by Armenia of obligations under the Tripartite Declaration dated November 10, 2020, military provocations along the Lachin road, including its use for the illegal transportation and planting of mines, illegal economic activity and looting of natural resources, illegal crossing of third-country nationals.

He said the legitimate demands of the representatives of the Azerbaijani civil society protesting on the Lachin road against the illegal activities that were conducted during the 30 years of occupation of Azerbaijani territories and have intensified in recent times, have not yet been fulfilled.
