The political legacy of great leader Heydar Aliyev is being preserved, Assistant of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev said, Olaylar reports.

According to him, the legacy of great leader lives in the hearts of Azerbaijani people.

"The activities of Heydar Aliyev are directly related to development of Azerbaijan Republic, strengthening of its statehood," he said. "Heydar Aliyev laid the foundations for strengthening the statehood of Azerbaijan. Foundations of our countrychr("39")s local policy and foreign policy strategy were laid. The Azerbaijani state has entered a new stage of development."

"There was also a testament of great leader to liberate Azerbaijan's Karabakh from Armenian occupation. Shusha - heart of Azerbaijan was liberated from occupation on November 8, 2020," Hajiyev said.
