Mukhtar Babayev comments on importance of transition to digital agriculture

Azerbaijan is one of the countries suffering from water shortage. The transition to digital agriculture is critical to meeting the growing water needs in future, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev said at the opening of the Vision for the Future: Transition to Digital Agriculture International Conference, Olaylar informs.

"Climate change, including water loss, leads to degradation and erosion of soils. Therefore, the technology for efficient use of water and the proper use of agricultural land are important," the minister said.
