Today I want to say again that Baku is a unique city, is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Everyone says it. For me, Baku is the most beautiful city in the world. We all love Baku. We must protect Baku, and I am reiterating that the city must develop, but in a planned way. Modern architecture should not tarnish the antiquity of Baku, its ancient historical image. These two important factors should not contradict with each other, on the contrary, antiquity and modernity - a peculiar aura of Baku must be protected, and I am confident that we will achieve this," President Ilham Aliyev said at a video conference with Shahin Seyidzada on March 3 over the latterchr("39")s appointment as chairman of the board of the Ichari Shahar State Historical-Architectural Reserve.
