Zangilan International Airport will be able to receive all types of aircraft

The Zangilan International Airport will be able to receive all types of aircraft, including heavy cargo planes, General Director of AzVirt LLC Kamil Aliyev said reporting to President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, Olaylar informs.

AzVirt LLC is carrying out the airport's construction.

The construction of the airport, with a 3,000 meters long runway, began in May this year. The geographical location of the district and the opportunities available there create favorable conditions for Zangilan to become an international transport and logistics center. Besides, the airport will play a vital role in the future successful socio-economic development of Zangilan. The construction is scheduled to be completed in 2022.
