Yunus Oghuz became laureate for the novel Tamerlane

Azerbaijani writers became laureates of the 2020/2021 International Peace Prize, and in one nomination "Historical Novel" at once, Olaylar reports. The information was announced on the online platform of the creative forum - II Large international literary online project.

Ramiz Gasimov (Deniz) won the Grand Prix in the Historical Novel nomination for his novel War and Humanism. Yunus Oghuz became the laureate of the second degree for the novel Tamerlane.

The winners of the International Peace Prize 2020-2021 were identified in the nominations: Historical Novel, Prose, Fiction, Childrenchr("39")s Literature, Poetry, Song Poetry, Non-fiction, Detective Story, Journalism.

Among the authors included in the short list of the International Peace Prize 2020/2021, Azerbaijani writers were also represented: in the nomination Prose - Chingiz Abdullayev and Ramiz Abbasli (Barkhudarov); in the Poetry nomination - Nariman Hasanzade and Sabir Rustamkhanli; in the nomination "Publicism" - Sariya Mamedova.
