Embassy of India, Baku, Azerbaijan celebrated the Teachers Day

Embassy of India, Baku, Azerbaijan celebrated the Teachers Day on September 07 through an online event. This is the first time when Government of India started a campaign to honor the Indian Teachers and Teachers of Indian origin who are teaching across the world. Azerbaijan has 11 Indian teachers who are engaged in quality skill development among the children and young ones of Azerbaijan in shaping their bright future. Starting from the primary schools to higher secondary schools, Indian teachers are engaged in various schools in Azerbaijan.

Starting from the primary schools to higher secondary schools, Indian teachers are engaged in various schools in Azerbaijan.

Teachers are known to share a very special bond with their students as they are the ones who teach them through books and experiences of their life. They not only prepare their students for excelling in professional life, but also for personal life. Teachers in our societies are held in high regard and to honor them, Teacherschr("39") Day is observed in India on September 5. The day commemorate the birth anniversary of the renounced academician, philosopher and the Bharat Ratna awardee, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan who was also the first Vice President and the second President of India. He was an elite teacher by profession so in 1962, it was decided to celebrate his birth anniversary as Teachers Day.

During the event, all the 11 Indian teachers spoke about their excellent experience of working in Azerbaijan and the immense honor and respect they are getting in this county.
