Armenia to receive an additional $ 25 mln aid from US

The United States will allocate $ 25 million to Armenia in the fight against coronavirus, Olaylar reports via Armenian media.

As Armenian National Committee of America said earlier, the chairman of the committee, Raffi Amparyan, wrote a letter to US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo asking Armenia to provide at least $ 25 million to help fight the coronavirus.

Notably, the United States has already provided $ 1.7 million to Armenia in this direction.

The total tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases has reached 1,473 in Armenia, while 24 lost lives. The country has extended the state of emergency till May 14.
