Minister: Turkey, Iran to conduct joint operations against PKK

Turkey and Iran will conduct joint operations against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorist group, Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said.

"PKK is experiencing the most difficult period," Soylu added, Trend reports referring to the Turkish media on March 6.

He stressed that the total number of PKK terrorists does not exceed 700 people.

"The Turkish Armed Forces and the gendarmerie regularly conduct operations against PKK militants," Soylu said.
