Deputy economy minister: Azerbaijan to create industrial zones in each district

Industrial zones will be created in each Azerbaijani district, the country's Deputy Economy Minister Niyazi Safarov said.

Safarov made the remarks at the conference on expansion of production of import-substituting products in industry by using local raw materials in Baku Feb. 6.

Safarov added that industry plays a big role in the development of the Azerbaijani economy.

"Five industrial parks and four industrial districts have been recently created in Azerbaijan upon the instructions of the country's President Ilham Aliyev and their number will increase in the future," he said. "In the future industrial zones are also planned to be created in each district of the country."
