Turkey unites two sectors of front in northern Syria

Turkey’s Armed Forces and the Free Syrian Army united two sectors of the front taking control over Ali Kar settlement within the Operation Olive Branch, the Turkish media reported citing the military sources Feb. 1.

Reportedly, the settlements liberated from terrorists are on the border with Turkey's Kilis province.

On Jan. 20, the Turkish Armed Forces, together with the Free Syrian Army, launched the Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, Syria.

F-16 fighters of the Turkish Air Force are involved in the operation, inflicting strikes on the positions of PYD/YPG on the Syrian-Turkish border.
