Amnesty Act proposed in Azerbaijan in connection with 95th birth anniversary of national leader

It is proposed to adopt an Amnesty Act in connection with the 95th birth anniversary of Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev.

This proposal was made on Feb. 1 by Siyavush Novruzov, chairman of the parliamentary committee on public associations and religious structures, deputy executive secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP).

Novruzov said that 63 decrees and orders on pardoning have been signed and 11 decisions on amnesty have been adopted so far in Azerbaijan.
