Overhaul of Baku-Boyuk Kasik railway section launched

Azerbaijan Railways CJSC has launched the next stage of overhaul work of the Baku-Boyuk Kasik railway, the press service of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC said in a statement Jan. 8.

The overhaul of the 8.6-km Shamkir-Alabashli section began on Jan. 8.

The reconstruction work is expected to last five days.

The project to reconstruct the 600-km Baku-Boyuk Kasik railway started in October 2015.

To date, 430 kilometers of the railway have been reconstructed.
