Azerbaijani President: Azerbaijan has established itself as one of the world centers over discussing humanitarian issues

I am glad to visit Sochi again. Firstly, I would like to say that Azerbaijan has traditionally attached great importance to participating in the work of the CIS. I confident that the CIS has a great future. The platform provides us with an opportunity for regular exchange of views. I would like to address the issue, mainly humanitarian, in my speech, "Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in a speech at the meeting of CIS heads of state in a narrow format in Sochi.

"Azerbaijan plays an important role on the international humanitarian cooperation. In our country there are regularly hold the important events of international dimension. I would like to notice especially the International Humanitarian Forum in Baku, which took place under the patronage of Russian and Azerbaijani presidents and which has already become a traditional and very urgent event. Moreover, I can say that unique in its kind, which mainly focuses on issues related to humanitarian cooperation, issues related to interfaith dialogue, dialogue of civilizations. The International Forum on Intercultural Dialogue is also regularly hold in Azerbaijan. Agenda of this forum is about the same as the Baku Humanitarian Forum. Thus, Azerbaijan annually becomes an arena for discussions on these topics. Thus, our country has already established itself as one of the world centers for discussing issues of a humanitarian nature," the head of state said.
