Committee chairman: Leading religious rituals without CMO permission ‘illegal’

Leading religious rituals without the permission of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) is illegal and the person will be held accountable, the chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, Mubariz Gurbanli, said on Wednesday, APA reported.

Gurbanli noted that the Committee has been given the power to write a protocol against anyone who leads religious rituals with CMO permission and to submit it to the court. The person will be fined, he added.
