Landslide in Uzbekistan, casualties reported

A landslide on Kamchik Pass in the Namangan region of Uzbekistan has killed and injured several people. The total number of victims is not specified, the press service of Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

According to the information, the landslide has covered two cars on the А-373 М-39 trunk-road.

The landslide came down at about 14.00 pm local time May 4. The victims receive necessary medical care.

The relevant services are working at the scene. Due to incident the traffic through the Pass was closed.
