Bakcell participates in the “ITU Telecom World 2017” exhibition
Bakcell, The First Mobile Operator and Leading Mobile Internet Provider of Azerbaijan is taking part in the International “ITU Telecom World 2017” event, which is held in the period from 25th to 28th of September in the city of Busan, South Korea. “ITU Telecom World 2017” event is organized by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), being a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) that is responsible for issues that concern information and communication technologies. At the exhibition, Azerbaijan is represented by delegation headed by the deputy minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Mr. Elmir Velizade. The opening ceremony of this four-day event was held on 25th of September at the BEXCO exhibition and convention center in the city of Busan.

Teenage paralympians have returned to motherland with the victory
The athletes of Children’s Paralympics Committee operating with the support of Azercell Telecom LLC have successfully represented Azerbaijan in the next international tournament. This time, teenage paralympians joined the international boccia competition held in Moscow, Russian Federation. The strong teams from England, Russia, Poland and the Czech Republic also took part in the competition. It should be noted that Azerbaijani athletes were the youngest participants of the tournament. Neverthless, the paralympians successfully represented our country and took the third place in the international competition in total team score.

Two Russian soldiers killed by shelling in Syria's Deir al-Zor province
Two Russian servicemen have been killed in Deir al-Zor province after Islamic State militants shelled a convoy they were escorting, the Russian Defence Ministry was cited as saying on Monday by the Interfax news agency, Reuters reported. The convoy was transporting Russian ceasefire monitoring military staff when it came under mortar attack, the ministry was quoted as saying. One soldier was killed on the spot and the other died in hospital after sustaining serious injuries. Both were awarded posthumous military awards, the ministry said.
Trump’s Iran policy fell short of equivocal IAEA report
The Trump administration’s policy of pressure towards Iran was in need of an equivocal report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to push its agenda, a former Iranian parliamentarian believes. US efforts to wring a favorable IAEA report failed when on August 30 the United Nations nuclear watchdog released its most recent quarterly report confirming for the seventh time that Iran is committed to limits on its nuclear program under the July 2105 nuclear agreement.
Uzbek president due in Kyrgyzstan
Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to Kyrgyzstan on Sept. 5-6 at an invitation of President Almazbek Atambayev, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry’s press service said in a message. During the meetings and negotiations at the highest level, the two presidents will discuss key issues of development of bilateral relations, the prospects for further expansion and deepening of cooperation in the political, trade and economic, transport and communication, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, the intensification of cooperation between border regions of the two countries, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest, says the message.
Poignant peaceful protest infuriates Armenians
Rising above the hubbub of the London streets, the timbre of the violin soared like the sound of a human voice at the touch of the deft fingers of a mysterious musician.
