Consul General Nasimi Aghayev becomes the Dean of the Los Angeles Consular Corps
Consul General of Azerbaijan Nasimi Aghayev has assumed his duties as the Dean of the Los Angeles Consular Corps (LACC) on November 29, 2017. Consisting of 66 Consuls General and 39 Honorary Consuls of 105 countries accredited in Los Angeles, LACC is the second largest Consular Corps in the world after New York.
Event dedicated to Azerbaijan held at Saddleback College of California
Saddleback College of California hosted a lecture by Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Los Angeles Nasimi Aghayev. In his presentation, Aghayev spoke about Azerbaijan’s history, rich cultural heritage, its geostrategic location, as well as its steady development and modernization as an independent nation since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.
Hugues Krafft’s stunning 19th century views of Baku unearthed in Reims
Some unique – and hitherto unseen – photographs of 19th century Baku have been exhibited at the Musée-Hôtel Le Vergeur in Reims, France, as an initiative of the French office of The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) Foundation. The private view and inauguration cocktail, attended by around 60 people, took place on 24 November, in the presence of H.E Rahman Mustafayev, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to France; H.E. Ecaterine Siradze-Delaunay, Ambassador of Georgia to France; and Pascal Labelle, Deputy Mayor of Reims in charge of Culture.
