The renowned “Forum” magazine of the National Association of Foreign Consuls in the U.S. published an article by Azerbaijan’s Los Angeles Consul General Nasimi Aghayev in its fall 2017 issue. Titled “Azerbaijan: Land of Hope, Diversity, Tolerance and Opportunity,” the article speaks about the long-standing traditions of multiculturalism and interfaith tolerance in Azerbaijan, the peaceful co-existence, acceptance and harmony among not only Muslims, Christian and Jews, but also Shiites and Sunnis in the country.

At the invitation of the West Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce (WLACC), Azerbaijan's Los Angeles Consul General Nasimi Aghayev addressed the Chamber members on Nov. 1, 2017. Considered one of the most influential chambers of commerce in California, the WLACC has over 1250 members representing many renowned companies, including some of the nation's largest corporate entities. Previous speakers of the WLACC included Los Angeles Mayors, members of U.S. Congress, California state elected officials and others.

Barama FinTech Hackathon 2017 Mobile App project which is supported by Azercell Telecom LLC and PASHA Bank and organized by Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and ADA University has finished with great excitement. The project designed as training course and competition for junior programmers was held for the 4th time in Azerbaijan, bringing together 50 young developers and 16 teams.
Definitive biography of Heydar Aliyev launched in UK Parliament
On 31 October, the definitive English-language biography of Azerbaijani National Leader Heydar Aliyev received its international launch at the UK Parliament, during a standing-room only event hosted by Bob Blackman MP, who is also Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Azerbaijan. The event was organised by The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS). TEAS Press has published the new biography, and attendees included Lord Kilclooney, Lord Addington, Mark Pawsey MP and Martin Vickers MP.
