Cycling Event to mark 150th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi
The 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of Indian freedom struggle and an apostle of peace, is being celebrated across the world from 02 October 2018-02 October, 2019. As part of these on-going celebrations, Embassy of India, Baku, in association with Icherisheher Administration of State Historical-Architectural Reserve and Baku Seaside Boulevard Office, organized a Cycling Event on 03 June 2019 on the occasion of the World Bicycle Day from the Double Gate of the historic Old City of Baku to the sprawling Baku Seaside Boulevard.

Azerbaijan and Turkey host a joint Ramadan Iftar in Los Angeles
The Consulates General of Azerbaijan and Turkey hosted a joint Ramadan Iftar in Los Angeles on May 29, 2019. Held at the Turkish Consul General’s residence, the event was attended by around 170 guests, including many Consuls General and Honorary Consuls, U.S. State Department officials, representatives of the City and County of Los Angeles, LAPD officers, leaders of the Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Baha’i, Zoroastrian and other faith communities, as well as Azerbaijani, Turkish, Jewish, Pakistani, Iranian and other community leaders and journalists.
Azerbaijan’s Republic Day celebrated in Monterey, California
An event dedicated to Azerbaijan’s Republic Day was held on May 28, 2019 at the historic Colton Hall in Monterey, California. Built in the early 19th century, the building hosted California's first constitutional convention in 1849.
