PM: Turkey urges Muslim countries to reconsider relations with Israel

Turkey is calling on Muslim countries to reconsider relations with Israel, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said, Turkish media reported on May 15.

Yildirim noted that Turkey sharply condemns Israelchr("39")s actions directed against Palestinians.

He stressed that Turkey, as before, will support Palestine.

Protest actions are underway in the Gaza Strip amid the 70th anniversary of establishment of Israel and the transfer of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Yesterday, Israeli soldiers opened fire at the protesters. According to the latest information, 55 Palestinians were killed in the clashes, more than 2,700 were injured. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas announced a three-day mourning.

The UN Security Council will mull the situation in the Gaza Strip on May 15.
