RIO DE JANEIRO, December 20. /TASS/. Brazilian authorities condemn the murder of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov and express solidarity with the Russian people and government, the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
"The Brazilian government is shaken and most resolutely condemns the murder of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Gennadyievich Karlov. Expressing our condolences and solidarity with the family of the victim, people and government of the Russian Federation, the Brazilian government once again decisively refutes any manifestation of terrorism regardless of motives that are used to explain them," the ministry said.

Venezuela resolutely condemns the murder of Russian ambassador to Turkey, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement adding that the attack at the Russian diplomat represents a "terrorist act."
"The Venezuelan government expresses its sadness and solidarity with the Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian people and especially with the relatives of Ambassador Karlov," the foreign ministry said. Venezuela also "confirms its support for Russia's selfless efforts on defending peace in the Syrian Arab Republic and in the whole region" which manifest in the "decisive fight against terrorist and extremist groups," the ministry added. Caracas also "calls on the West to stop the campaign against the brotherly Russian people based on lies and hate," the ministry noted.
Mexico hopes all necessary measures will be taken
Mexican authorities have resolutely condemned the murder of Andrey Karlov, the Mexican Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"Mexico categorically rejects terrorism in all its forms and manifestations," the foreign ministry said. "Mexico expresses its condolences and solidarity with the Russian government, as well as with relatives of Ambassador Andrei Karlov," the ministry added.
The Mexican government hopes that "all necessary measures will be taken" to investigate this crime and punish those guilty, the Foreign Ministry said.
The Russian prime minister warned earlier that crimes like that could not go unpunished:
A gunman fired shots at the Russian diplomat at the opening of the photo exhibition "Russia from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka in the eyes of a traveler" in Ankara on Monday. Russian Foreign Ministry's official spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed that Karlov died from the injuries. She said Moscow considers this as a terrorist attack.
Turkish authorities said the attacker was immediately eliminated by local security forces. Three other people were injured on the scene. A source in the Russian Embassy in Ankara told TASS that there were no Russians among those injured.
